511 Brand Toolbox

This area of 511sd.com has been designed to enable you, our 511 partners, to refer to 511 in ways that are consistent with 511 and SANDAG communications efforts. What you will see on this site are suggestions for how to incorporate the 511 brand into your own communications more effectively. Guidelines for the use of logos and links to 511sd.com:

Except as otherwise authorized by SANDAG in writing, when referring to 511 Web sites please display only the logos provided in the 511Toolbox. By downloading the logo, you agree to these guidelines.

  1. The logo must always be an active link directly to http://www.511sd.com and no other URL.
  2. Do not alter the logo in any way whatsoever, including proportions, colors, elements, etc. Do not use the logo as a feature or design element of any other image.

Tagline

The official 511 tagline is “Connect to 511 for Traffic, Transit, and Commute Information.” Part of the strength of the tagline is that it refers to both ways of accessing 511 – through the Web and through the phone. So, using it on the phone helps drive people to the Web and using it on the Web helps drive people to the phone.

This tagline should be used only in the following layout. A downloadable JPEG and EPS file are available under it.

Referring to 511 in Print, TV and Radio

Print

Web: When leading people to a sub-page of the 511 site, always lead people to the 511sd.com home page and then instruct them to click onto the appropriate mode. When verbally referring to 511sd.com, it should always be stated "five-one-one s-d dot com", not
"five-eleven s-d dot com" or in any other combination.
